Custom homes built for Central Colorado

A clear building process, experienced construction and a home shaped around your property and priorities.

Start with the land and the life you want there

A custom home should respond to the property, the people who will live in it and the decisions that matter over time. CHC connects those goals to the realities of building in Central Colorado.

Brad French brings more than 25 years in construction and fifth-generation local roots to the work. His experience across site preparation, concrete, foundations, framing and complete construction helps the team consider how one phase affects the next.

Built around the property

Access, slope, drainage, utilities, snow, wind and foundation conditions can shape the design and sequence before finish selections begin.

Decisions made in the right order

Early choices about the site, wall system, openings and mechanical approach reduce late changes and protect the construction schedule.

One accountable home builder

CHC leads the complete build and coordinates the work included in the project contract, from early construction through the finish.

Options without pressure

Conventional construction, ICF walls and shell delivery each suit different owners and properties. We explain the tradeoffs instead of presenting one answer for every home.

A typical construction phase is around nine months

For a well-prepared custom-home project, CHC's construction phase is typically about nine months. It is a planning expectation, not a guarantee. Design readiness, permits, site conditions, weather, utilities, material lead times and owner changes can extend the schedule.

The most useful schedule conversation happens after CHC reviews the property, plans, selections and required approvals.

How the custom-home process works

1. Property and project conversation

We discuss the location, goals, available plans, intended use and what matters most to you.

2. Feasibility and preconstruction

The team considers access, site work, utilities, foundation approach, design status, engineering, permitting and major construction choices.

3. Scope, pricing and schedule

CHC builds a project-specific scope and schedule from the information available. Allowances, exclusions and owner decisions are identified instead of hidden.

4. Construction and communication

Site work, concrete, structure, enclosure, building systems and finishes move forward in the sequence established for the project. Changes are documented.

5. Completion and turnover

The final work, inspections and agreed turnover items are completed before responsibility transfers to the owner.

Custom-home questions

When should CHC become involved?

Early enough to review the property and major construction choices before the plans become expensive to change.

Does CHC work with existing plans?

Bring the plans and engineering you have. CHC will review their readiness, the site's needs and any missing information before defining scope and price.

Is nine months guaranteed?

No. It is a typical construction timeframe for a prepared project, not a fixed promise. The project-specific schedule depends on design, approvals, site conditions, utilities, weather, selections and changes.

Where does CHC build?

CHC serves Central Colorado. Project fit also depends on location, access, scope and schedule, so send the property address or parcel location with your inquiry.

Tell us about the property

Send the location, plans you have, intended timing and the goals behind the home. We will review the information and contact you about the next practical step.
